Im going to briefly stste the process of installing apps to your android phone from your pc/lappy.
First check you have java runtime installed and then JAVA SDK.you can download them at
I had the 1.7 old version and it worked for me fine
Next download the “Android sdk” from
install the recommend version at say c:/android/sdk.now this is going to cause a problem as it will not find java sdk installed on your machine.
you need a small registry hack before installing.
- Run regedit.
- Find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit]
- Right click on the key and click export, then save the file to the desktop.
- Right click then click edit.
- Add Wow6432Node to the path of each key in the file.Save.
- double click on the registry fine and it will add to registry.
- it should look something like this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.7]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.7.0]
now complete the installation.
now download ADB files from :
unzip them on tools folder under Android/sdk/
now open command prompt:( you know that right? start->run->type:”command”)
navigate to android installation folder
type “adb devices” ,that should list your device(CONNECT YOUR DEVICE BEFORE THIS STEP VIA USB!!!!)
If not then follow this website:
now find apk files from google:
search using filetype:apk
suppose you want to find tetris, try searching “filetype:apk tetris” download from one of the many links…
Copy the apk file to tools folder and write
adb install .apk
and there you are your installed app works great on your phone!!
hope you enjoyed this quick guide…
